Dermal Fillers

Enhance your natural beauty with lip and dermal fillers

Lip and dermal fillers are minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures that leave you looking vibrant and younger without compromising your natural beauty.

While it's not possible to reverse the aging process, we can undo the signs of aging. Lip and dermal fillers achieve this by directly restoring your skin's reserves of hyaluronic acid in specific areas, which has the dual effects of tightening and hydrating the surrounding skin.

When applied in this manner:

  • Wrinkles are smoothed out
  • Your face's natural contours are enhanced
  • Volume is added to your face and lips

Skin is left looking younger, brighter and more hydrated after under an hour of treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found throughout the human body. On top of promoting cell repair and growth it's responsible for the skin's ‘fullness', as it binds itself to water molecules. Our body's hyaluronic reserves deplete as we age, leading to the emergence of wrinkles and fine lines.

Do dermal or lip fillers hurt?

I apply a topical numbing cream to the treated area at least 10 minutes before the treatment begins to ensure the whole procedure is painless.

How should I prepare for my filler treatment?

Some over-the-counter medicines and foods are natural blood thinners, which makes bruising more likely. These include Omega 3 supplements, vitamin E supplements, ibuprofen, paracetamol, alcohol and ginseng.

Always check with your doctor if you are taking any prescriptive medication.

I recommend you up your intake of natural anti-inflammatory foods 2 to 3 days before the treatment day. These include mangos, pineapples, leafy greens, fatty fish, garlic and turmeric.

What should I do after my filler treatment?

You may experience bruising, tenderness or swelling around the treated area for between 1 to 2 weeks.

Avoid massaging or squeezing any swollen areas.

Avoid consuming alcohol and the blood-thinning medications listed above, as this could make any bruising you experience worse.

Consider taking an antihistamine to counteract any swelling.
